2018 has come and gone and I couldn’t be more grateful for all that it brought to my little business. But to be totally honest, that’s a huge understatement.
Going into 2018 I had no idea what I was getting myself into. This has been (unexpectedly) my busiest year yet. In 2017 I shot about 8 weddings, and that quickly multiplied in 2018. The learning curve was steep, but I was up for the challenge.
I love capturing fleeting moments and preserving them forever. I love capturing raw human emotion. I love capturing some of the happiest moments in people's lives. So this is truly my dream job. I feel so honoured to be trusted by my clients to capture their special day. I get to create memories for couples committing their love to one another, and that’s a beautiful thing that I don't take for granted.
Looking back over 2018 has been so enjoyable, and at the same time so difficult trying to narrow down my favourite photos from the year to share with you. In total I shot 23 weddings and 15 engagements (24 if you include my own). Each wedding I shot was beautiful in its own way and I loved nothing more than connecting with my clients and seeing what made them unique. From shooting downtown Toronto at city hall, to travelling to the ethereal east coast of Nova Scotia I’ve had the true honour of capturing the love and light in all of you. I hope I can do this for many years to come.
Here are some of my favourites:
